We’ve scoured the Internet to see what are the sought after looks for kitchen styles and here’s what we’ve found:

The Gray Scale

One thing that has become sought after in kitchens is the color gray. There will always be the classic black & white for kitchens that will stand the test of time. Gray is making an emergence as the color to use. This color can be seen either in the appliances, flooring, walls, or accents. There are different shades of gray that can be utilized, either using one strict shade or creating a room using various shades of gray.

Colorful Sinks

Kitchen styles are getting away from the solid white sink or stainless steel sinks.  Sinks are now showing up in bright colors. It’s a way to add a splash of color to a room without taking up extra space. There are many different colors to choose from and many different styles. Choosing your sink would involve deciding the functionality you desire, the size of the space that you have available, budget, and picking the color that coordinates with the rest of your kitchen.

Automation

Another area that has become popular with kitchens is the idea of automation. This can be seen in many areas in the kitchen. First, the lights can be automated. This can be done using a sensor so that movement in the kitchen can trigger the lights to come on. You wouldn’t have to worry about someone leaving the lights on because you can set the lighting to shut off after a specific period of time with no movement in the kitchen. Another area would be to automate the faucets. Here a sensor would detect when something was present, such as hands, and automatically turn the water on. This can be very helpful when you have a large pot you need to fill, or if your hands are dirty. A final automated item in the kitchen could be the garbage can. Waving your hands over a sensor would open the lid, and after a small amount of time, the lid would close. This is helpful when your hands are full.
