One thing about considering a bathroom remodel project is that there are so many variables for upgrades. You could do a full remodel and change the floor, fixtures, and structure. Another choice is making small changes over time. One such small change is to consider swapping out your current shower head. There is nothing like standing under the hot spray after an exhausting day. The water hits you and relaxes your muscles and the stress of the day goes down the drain. There are many ways to give the day a proper send-off. We’ll discuss some of them.

The Number of Sprayers

The shower is not reduced to just one shower head anymore. There can be shower heads on either side, a few straight above, or several sprayers on a wall hitting you at different heights. It’s best to consider the space available for the number of shower heads you are thinking of and also consider the height of those in the shower. No one will enjoy a shower that continually sprays them in the face.

How The Sprayer Is Mounted

Shower heads have also had a transformation in where they are located in the shower. The shower head could have the traditional wall mount, where the actual shower head angle is changed to direct the spray. Additionally, shower heads can also slide up and down a metal pole to adjust the height of the overall spray. And finally, shower heads can be removed from the shower apparatus to allow for fully directional spray in a handheld fashion. Again, it is important to keep the available space for movement in mind to ensure you can fully enjoy the shower head that you choose.

Where The Shower Head Is Mounted

The shower head can be mounted traditionally on the wall, or it can be mounted on the ceiling to give the shower a rainfall effect. Some tubs have the shower head attached by the faucet (these are generally unattached tubs). This allows the bather to use the handheld functioning. The shower could also have a hybrid set up where several choices are used. As an example, an overhead sprayer and the traditional wall mount.

How the shower head(s) are configured are up to you, your wants, and the space available. It is important to consider how much space is available when looking at various shower heads. It would not be good to get an overhead shower where the water actually comes out of the top because there is not enough clearance for the sides to catch the water to keep it in the shower.
