Freshen Up For Spring

Spring is a time for renewal. A chance for a fresh start and making things better. The weather begins to warm up, and the flowers begin to bloom. Looking around your space, there are ways that you can freshen up your look. You can begin to map out a full remodel or partial remodel. While you are planning this, there are things around your home that you can do to freshen things up now.

A simple way to liven up a room is to add a fresh coat of paint. You can either use the same color or choose to try out something new. Now would be a good time to see what’s been collecting under the bed, under the appliances in the kitchen and the traps in the drains in the bathroom. You can check the nooks and crannies within your home to clear out the crud that has been collecting. This can help your home run more efficiently and make your home feel brighter.

Another way to freshen up for spring is to review your current space and see if you can rearrange items to make it better. You can review traffic patterns in the home to determine if you can move furniture around to make movement easier. If space allows, you could empty out rooms and start over to determine the best place to put everything.  This can give you a fresh perspective on your space so that you can see other possibilities for making changes in the future.

While you are performing your spring freshen up, you can review your home to make sure that it is as safe as possible. You can check your screens for rips and tears, look at any wood that you have for signs of damage, and look for cracks and damage to the foundation.
